Back to normal life! Here we go!

Today was the last day of steroids, I have been sleeping, feeling normal, and tired. The five weeks or so of 0-4 hrs. of sleep is finally being cured by some well deserved shut eye. Katie seems a lot less stressed too. Radiation is over too!

There is nothing medical on the horizion except a doctor's appointment in Grand Rapids, and taking care of my PICC line. The PICC line is a small tube that goes into my arm and ends inside mybody near my heart. It is a little maintenance, but not too bad. The biggest bummer is that I can't go swimming... well, to be technical I can't submerge it under water.

So, my days have looked like this: Laying down or sitting, cooking food, eating food, sipping water, doing homework, doing some small chores, and finally doing homework. I am taking a full load of classes and so far I'm doing well in them. Amazing and satisfying... and yes, stressful at times.

Smooth sailin' ahead, Capt...

I'm so glad to hear things are getting back to somewhat-normal for you. :) The sunny side of not being able to swim right now is that it's freeeeezing outside (or at least it's starting to get that way here in WV) and it's totally not swimming weather anyway.

Good luck in classes!!
