The doctor thinks I can leave the hospital some time in the next few days. This whole marathon stay has went much better than expected. The one day that I was most sick from the chemo I slept through most of it. The days did not drag on slowly. There was a daily rythm that I welcomed and I did not try to fight it. Katie was here for thirteen of the days and that made all the difference.
When I leave the hospital this week I will be staying with family in Birmingham. It's only a 30 minute drive to the hospital. They are very friendly and hospitable people. I will have to stay a short drive from Karmanos as the risk of complications from the treatment decrease. During that time I will have one or two trips to Karmanos for check-ups before I can go home.
Two years ago from today my journey with cancer began. It was Friday January 13, 2006.

Hey Brian, It's Seth Hill-Kennedy. I have seen Katie on an off the past couple weeks for various things, and she told me about your blog. I am glad to hear things are going well, my friend, and I am continually praying for both you and Katie. I look forward to reading more of what you have to write. Currently I am back at Northern, and things are going well on my end. Let me know if you need anything. Find the greatness in today. Your friend, Seth H-K
I wonder if you realize what an inspiration you are to me and others. Not only 2 bouts with this, but aneurism (oops, think I might have blown the spelling on that)surgery in between. Awesome news about the early release. I'm so glad you'll be with family. xxoo
