It's Go-Time

Thanks for all of the emails, phone calls, thoughts and prayers.

I spent the morning yesterday doing and MRI and CT scans. The afternoon I spent with the relatives on my dad's side.

Today I was able to sleep until 9am which felt good because the night before I only got four hours of sleep due to the extra couple hours of driving at night. My sister Stacy drove me down to stay with relatives Saturday night. We ran smack into the huge storms that spanned 96. We were traveling at 40mph and the storm was traveling at 35. We decided to go south and exit the storm after we stopped in Portland, MI to check out the weather reports on the TV. We decided to drive south and go to Ann Arbor rather than our original plan of Flint.

Stacy and I drove to the hospital this morning and I began my treatment of Rituxan. Tomorrow, I go on the same floor I spent so much time before: 5 webber north.

This summer I will be spending every other week in the hosptial. On the Monday I arrive I will receive an infusion of Rituxan. Today's infusion has taken five hours because it is the first time I will received so much of it. Tuesday through Friday I will be on 5 webber north - the same floor as the previous episodes of chemo/cancer.

I feel decent today. The right ear is still ringing and that is quite annoying. Emotionally I am doing pretty well. I can't wait to go home and start gearin' up for the wedding!

Okay, dear... you're leaving me in the dark here. When's the big date??

BTW, please have Katie email me. I updated the staff at Crossroads and had them put you both on their prayer lists. Hope you don't mind. Could you also send me your mom's email, too? Thanks, Brian. :-)

Sending you love and prayers, "Mrs. G."

Brian,

You never cease to amaze me! We pray that you continue to persevere through another treatment. We are so excited about your upcoming wedding. It is such an awesome union to celebrate. I am also hoping to make it to the Wednesday night campout. May God continue to give you strength as you fight this illness. May He give you joy as you celebrate your wedding:)

With love,
